Every enTel client is entitled to 20MB of complementary webspace, to use as they choose, providing content is in good taste and does not violate any legal regulations. We do reserve the right to revoke your webspace privilages for any reason, however this is an uncommon practice and will only be exercised if we feel there has been a clear intent to encourage illegal, discriminatory, or highly offensive actions, or if content of this nature is being directly produced on your site. With that in mind, we invite you to set up your web space here if you have not already done so.

Once this is completed, you will find your site available at http://www.entel.ca/your-user-name. A simple "under construction page" is provided for you immediately, with a link to this site as well.

In order to directly edit your website, use any FTP client, for example Microsoft Internet Explorer, to log into your webspace with the username and password you provided during setup, at the site ftp://www.entel.ca. Once this is done you can freely rename, delete, or overwrite existing files, and copy and paste new ones into this directory as well. You may also create subdirectories and perform any other task you would expect to find on an FTP account.

If you are not familiar with how to use an FTP program, we recommend using Internet Explorer as its interface should be fairly familiar to most Windows users. Microsoft Windows includes a Help and Support section accessible from the Internet Explorer "Help" menu which contains documentation explaining how to connect to FTP sites.

When producing your site, remember to make the file name for your home page "index.html." index.html is a standard home page file name, and our servers have been configured to recognize it, so that if you were to go to http://www.entel.ca/your-user-name it would bring you directly to http://www.entel.ca/your-user-name/index.html. If you do not have an index.html file, the server will also look for index.htm, index.php, index.phtml, home.html, home.htm, home.php, and home.phtml. Finally, if none of these files are available, the server will simply generate a web page automatically which lists the files and folders currently in your web space.
